Metal hydrogen fuel cell
Fuel cell is a kind of power generation device which can convert chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy directly by electrochemical reaction without combustion. It is a new technology which can utilize energy efficiently and does not pollute the environment. There are many types of fuel cells, according to the electrolyte used, they are mainly phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC), molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC), solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and alkaline fuel cell (AFC). Among all kinds of fuel cells, proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has attracted much attention in recent years because of its low operating temperature (about 80 ℃), high power density, fast start-up and fast response to load changes.
Hydrogen fuel cell is a kind of cell which uses hydrogen as a chemical element to store energy. Its basic principle is the reverse reaction of electrolytic water, which supplies hydrogen and oxygen to the cathode and anode respectively. After hydrogen diffuses outwards through the cathode and reacts with the electrolyte, electrons are released to the anode through the external load.It is also a clean and efficient environmental protection new energy.
Dry cell and storage battery are energy storage devices, which store electric energy and release it when needed. Hydrogen fuel cell is strictly a kind of power generation device, like a power plant, which directly converts chemical energy into electric energy.
The main components of hydrogen fuel cell are: membrane electrode, gas diffusion layer, bipolar plate, end plate and other related components
