Yanchang Petroleum and Huayi began to gradually increase the layout of hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry chain.

Central petrochemical enterprises such as Sinopec, PetroChina, Sinochem, and local enterprises such as Yanchang Petroleum and Huayi began to gradually increase the layout of hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry chain.

With strong financial strength, extensive hydrogen production resources and gas station network, these enterprises are expected to accelerate the energy transformation and guide the further development of China’s hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry.

In September 2018, Sinopec was selected into the international hydrogen Council. Up to now, there are 5 enterprises in China, namely Sinopec, Great Wall Motor, Weichai, national energy group and re fire reshaping technology.

Sinopec’s key investment in hydrogen energy industry is the construction of transportation network hydrogenation station.

As early as December 2017, PetroChina and Sinopec signed an agreement with Foshan municipal government on the construction of hydrogenation station.

In September 2018, PetroChina, Zhangjiakou Hiper and Zhangjiakou Communications Investment Co., Ltd. jointly established a joint venture company to lay out hydrogen infrastructure in Zhangjiakou area and undertake corresponding demonstration operation and daily management.

In September 2018, the first hydrogenation station in Wuhan, Hubei Province participated by PetroChina was built in Wuhan East Lake high tech Zone.

In January 2019, PetroChina signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhangjiakou transportation and investment group and hydrogen fuel professional company to carry out alliance cooperation around the hydrogen energy supply industry chain. The first provincial commercial hydrogen station will be built at the 74th gas station in Zhangjiakou, which will also become the first comprehensive energy service station of PetroChina integrating gas filling, hydrogenation and charging.

In April 2019, CNPC Beijing signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing HaPel, and the two sides will work together to build a mixed station of liquid, gas, oil and hydrogen in Beijing.

According to the agreement, the two sides plan to expand the gas station at the intersection of North Sixth Ring Road and Beijing Tibet Expressway into a combined station of liquid gas, hydrogen, hydrogenation and gas, and build an auxiliary hydrogen energy application demonstration center. It is expected that the completion of the station will alleviate the energy demand of existing fuel cell vehicles in Beijing and provide hydrogenation support for fuel cell demonstration vehicles in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

In April 2018, Sinochem International and Tianjin University signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement, which is to conduct comprehensive strategic cooperation on the research of new energy vehicles, lithium-ion power batteries, hydrogen fuel cells and related materials.

I October of the same year, Sinochem Energy International hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology innovation center held a unveiling ceremony in Rugao, Jiangsu Province, marking Sinochem energy’s exploration into the field of hydrogen fuel cell and its core components.
