The development of hydrogen energy in different countries

China:

Our state is continuously strengthening scientific and technological innovation to  leading the development of hydrogen fuel cell technology and industry, promoting the development of fuel cell equipment manufacturing industry, and strengthening the construction of hydrogen energy supporting infrastructure.

China Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance was formally established in Beijing on February 11, 2018,,it indicates that the development of hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry has reached a “national consensus”.

U.S.A:

The U.S. Department of Energy has launched the National Hydrogen Development Prospects and Guidelines Project, according to the U.S. Hydrogen Technology Roadmap, the United States will enter the era of “hydrogen economy” by 2040.It has launched the world’s largest demonstration of fuel cell vehicles, with 183 fuel cell vehicles and 25 hydrogenation stations traveling 3.6 million miles.

Britain:

ITM Energy UK implements a hydrogen demonstration project in Rotherham, UK, to provide some electricity support and hydrogen fuel for nearby buildings. The integrated demonstration system of hydrogen energy combines ITM Energy’s most advanced commercialization module of hydrogen energy, and is a very important part of UK hydrogen energy infrastructure.

Germany: Germany expects to have 1000 hydrogenation stations and 500,000 fuel cell vehicles by 2020 and will improved and expanded the distribution hydrogenation stations in the future. Also Germany is vigorously promoting hydrogen production technology from renewable energy such as wind energy and solar energy, which has good economy.

Iceland:

In 1998, the Icelandic government announced plans to replace fossil fuels with hydrogen fuels. Daimler AG of Germany, Shell of the Netherlands and Norsk Hydro of Norway cooperated with local public utilities and research institutes to create Icelandic New Energy and take the lead in promoting the government’s plans.

Sweden:

Vatten Fall Sweden established the first hydrogen-wind renewable energy power plant in Europe,it uses wind energy to produce and store hydrogen, which is used not only to generate electricity and heat energy, but also It is also used as fuel for fuel cell vehicles.

Japan:

The Japanese government has said that hydrogen is the “trump card” to solve the problems of energy security and global warming, also emphasizing the importance of Japan taking the lead in achieving the “hydrogen society”.There were 93 hydrogenation stations in Japan by the beginning of 2017.
